"LIKE TEARS IN RAIN" offers a profound meditation on the nature of human existence and the passage of time. Contemplating the metaphor of life and death as a transition to another dimension, the work invites us to consider the final transience of all things and reflect on the mysteries of human mortality. Evoking memories of childhood and the playful innocence of youth, the exhibition reminds us of the importance of preserving our experiences and embracing the impermanence of life as a natural and necessary part of the human journey.

The exhibition "Like Tears in Rain" aims to be an immersive digital adventure, where Motta's art goes beyond the boundaries between the virtual and the tangible, involving spectators in an exploration of their own emotional world and authenticity. In this work, philosophy, art, and technology blend in a homogeneous and stimulating discourse that invites meditation and self-analysis.
In summary, Giovanni Motta's art establishes a deep and philosophical dialogue between past and present, East and West, and between the individual and the collective. Motta guides us to rediscover our inner child, encouraging us to immerse ourselves in a nostalgic and transformative journey. Along this path, we tackle universal themes such as childhood, memory, and self-discovery, while his Neo-Pop Surrealistic style gives his works a unique and captivating character capable of stimulating the imagination and awakening latent memories and emotions.

In May 2023, Motta present a solo exhibition titled "Like Tears in Rain" at W1 Curates in London, a cutting-edge exhibition space created for immersive digital experiences. The work, inspired by the idiomatic phrase derived from the monologue delivered by replicant Roy Batty in the iconic film Blade Runner, alludes to the ephemeral nature of existence and the importance of preserving the most significant moments of our lives. The deep connection between Motta's art and literature is also evident in his admiration for Marcel Proust, whose novel "In Search of Lost Time" has influenced the artist in his exploration of the past through objects and sensations.
