When We Were Younger

An elementary action like rubbing your eyes for a few seconds. A trivial movement of the hands closed in a fist that push on the eyelids as if to resume the sight and return to look with new eyes. The universe of colors and sparks swarms in front of us, within us.
A moment, a short period of time where the horizon is lost, where the ego is confused in space and time. The connection is immediate, the child returns and for an instant we are catapulted into the age of innocence, in the fantastic period of puberty where everything is light and easy, where nothing has a profound meaning and where everything is beauty and joy.
"When we were younger" is an introspective journey into the deep unconscious, a heroic and vigorous mission, a desperate attempt to reach and make contact with the origin of existence. They are works made with meticulous patience and meticulous work
of organization of the spaces and composition of the elements that make up the image.
An artistic path that approaches meditation, a test of hard and conscious self-discipline, a long and repetitive technical process.
400 hours of work is the average time used to make each of the canvases that belong to the project.
